SF Median Prices In May

Here are 2 mapped analyses of recent San Francisco house and condo sales by median sales price and average dollar per square foot for the first 4 months of 2013, broken out by neighborhood. These maps give an interesting overview of prices and values in the different areas of the city. Generally speaking, home values are continuing on the course of significant appreciation that began in 2012.

 

Median price is that price at which half the sales occurred for more and half for less. It may be and often is affected by other factors besides changes in value, such as seasonality; changes in financing conditions, buying patterns and available inventory; and changes in the distressed and luxury home segments. All data from sources deemed reliable but may contain errors and is subject to revision.
